The ancient gold coin set at the center of this pendant dates to 450 to 57 A.D. The coin is set in a sterling silver decorative frame with 18K yellow gold bail at the top. The coin is a Billion Tetradrachm minted in Seleucis and Pieria in Antioch, modern day Turkey. The coin features an eagle on one side and the head of Roman emperor Trajan Decius on the opposite. The coin's authenticity as an ancient coin has been certified by a professional numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage.
